Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. The parents of Kristen Bell include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Bell was raised and born in Huntington Woods Michigan. Kristen is Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a talented entertainer at an early stage. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency just before her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper ads. Additionally, she began to take classes in acting privately. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell took part in the drama and music club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy role. Bell was then transferred into New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left the school in 2001 and began playing Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. That was the same year that she also had her first credit debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her character was not shown in the credits sequence. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance in her first Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
